Poetry Play Thursday

I'm trying something different at Texty Ladies today for Poetry Play Thursday and I hope you'll stop by and help us out. The poetry form I've chosen for the week is Renga and it requires pairs or small groups to write.

Intriguing American Title V Finalist

Jacquie Rogers interviewed American Title V finalist Marie-Claude Borque at Texty Ladies today.  If you read the interview, you'll find out what an intriguing woman she is.  I was compelled to check out her sites and enjoyed taking a fun quiz for which the results are posted here.  It looks like I'm of the majority.

Poetry Play Thursday

I hope you'll stop over at Texty Ladies today where I'm hosting my new meme, Poetry Play Thursday.  We'll explore a new form of poetry each week, starting with something easy and moving on to the more difficult forms as we gain confidence.  Why not give it a go?

Where am I?

I've been blogging over at A Touch of Inspiration lately.  Other than a post or two, I haven't been to LJ in a while.  I think the community I've discovered over there keeps me going back.  It also seems like I get tired of one blog, move to the next, and then come back around again eventually.

Mission 101 2009

Finally.  Here is my complete list of 101 goals to be completed in 1001 days.

Update

Just a quick post tonight as I'm falling asleep as I type.  I've posted my second Simply Kind Tuesdays blog at A Touch of Inspiration.  My completed 101 goals list will be posted here tomorrow.  That's all I've got tonight so, over and out.

Goals

I've been working on my goal list for Mission 101 2009.  I have about 83 goals written down so far, some of which I've posted here.  I won't post the entire list until I finish it so hopefully that will be tomorrow.  Who'd have thought coming up with 101 goals would be so hard?  After looking over the list, it appears so selfish to me.  I should have working toward world peace or ridding the world of hunger as my goals but no.  Mine include painting the living room walls and organizing my photos.  Maybe the world hunger thing is on someone else's list.  ;)

Silly Post

I hate to post something silly so that I'll make my NaBloPoMo goal of posting every day but it appears that's what I'm doing.  I'm feeling like a bee-yotch tonight so it's safer to say very little.  Listening to NIN right now, munching on Reese's Puffs.  The FDA said to stay away from all peanut butter but I'm not overly concerned about the cereal.  This feels like a stream of consciousness post; like I'm typing whatever pops into my head.  You know, I don't want my userpic to show up on every entry but I've changed the style to reflect that and it still shows up.  Grrrr!

Party Over Here!

My family is over and we're having a good time!  :)  Spaghetti dinner, RockBand, wine, board games, kitties being cute, more wine... Ah, good times.  I don't have time to post more now but I will tomorrow.  Have a good night all!

Sleepy

Family is coming over, pets must go to the vet... I'm looking forward to the weekend but right now, with my eyes drooping and my head bobbing, I can think of only one thing............................................sleep.  Sorry, I promise to post more tomorrow.

Another Meme?

Call me crazy but I joined another meme today.  Somebody's got to stop me.  This one is called "Wordful Wednesdays."  The idea is to post one picture and then talk about it.  Sounds simple, huh?  I guess we'll find out next Wednesday when I give it a go.

Artist Update

Please stop over at Texty Ladies on Thursday, 1/15, for an update on artist Kathy Ostman-Magnusen.  I featured her work at TL back in May of 2008 and it's time to see what she's been up to.

A Quick Update

Just a quick update tonight.  I've posted my first Simply Kind Tuesdays post at A Touch of Inspiration tonight and I'll try to finish up my 101 goals so I can get them posted tomorrow or Thursday.  We're almost halfway into the month and I should have had my list completed by now.

Talent

I've had such fun this last week surfing from one art blog to the next, getting inspired and motivated to be more creative.  With the tendonitis in my right hand acting up the past few days, I haven't been able to draw but it's feeling a bit better now so I'll give it a try tomorrow or Wednesday.  I'm so amazed by the art I've discovered.  People are so talented, it makes me wonder where it all comes from and did I receive a sprinkling of that magic talent fairy dust? I'm going to try to dig up some of my old drawings and hope that will give me some confidence...or not.  I remember by high school art teacher saying I had the talent and abilities of someone much older than myself.  Can that talent be lost forever if it's not utilitized and nourished?  Let's hope not!

My Other Posts

Just a quick post tonight.  I've posted my first Sacred Life Sunday blog at A Touch of Inspiration and I did a short post over at Rudigirl's World.  I'm falling asleep as I type and I still have to do a load of laundry, pay some bills, and color my hair and have only the next hour to do get it all done.  I hope you'll have a look at my other blogs and I'll post more here tomorrow.  Good night!
